Ulisses Confalonieri

Ulisses Confalonieri trained in medicine and in veterinary medicine (Federal University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). DSc in Parasitology (Rio de Janeiro, 1983). Full Professor of Public Health in Federal University (Rio de Janeiro) and at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ). Coordinating author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment; The Earth System Science Partnership and Reports for the World Health Organization. Member of International Committees at the United Nations University; World Meteorological Organization  and the International Research Institute for Climate and Society. Current interests include the ecology and epidemiology of infectious diseases; environmental health; the health effects of global environmental changes and vulnerability studies.
