The Environmental Health conference will take place at the Bahia Othon Palace Hotel, Salvador, Brazil.

The Bahia Othon Palace is located on Avenue Oceânica, at Ondina Beach, an exclusive area just 5km, ten minutes drive from downtown Salvador. Luis Eduardo Magalhaes International Airport (SSA), is 33km (21 miles) north of the hotel.

The 30-minute taxi ride from the airport affords some spectacular views of the coastal scenery. Pelourinho, Salvador’s historic quarter, is 10 minutes drive. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its colourful houses, beautiful baroque churches, museums and cobbled streets, this area promises the visitor a fascinating insight into Bahia’s colonial history and African influence.

The hotel is also close to many excellent shopping malls and upmarket boutiques, as well as many cafes, restaurants, and Rio Vermelho, famous for its buzzing nightlife. Farol da Barra is a five minute drive and Mercado Modelo is a ten minute drive away.

US$130 (10% + 5% relevant taxes) per room per night (based on single occupancy)
